FANTASY FOOTBALL: Top 30 waiver-wire pickups heading into NFL Week 5

Here’s the BATSBY Sports listing of fantasy football’s top 30 free agents in advance of Week 5, universally citing 12-team Points Per Reception leagues — a countdown which typically values long-term viability over one week of superb stats (unless the red-hot asset has affiliation with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes).

Obviously, free-agent quarterbacks like Jameis Winston, Mason Rudolph, Marcus Mariota and Gardner Minshew are the likeliest candidates for most points from Sunday to Sunday.

But we also place an equal or higher priority on landing possible dynamos at receiver, running back and tight end, especially those who’ve already become fixtures in the red zone.
